November Message:
Dear Sisters,
Thanksgiving is past and Christmas will be here before you know it. So many things to get done in my house. Today I decorated the house, pulling out items that have been preserved from year to year. Of course there were some tears... some memories with my husband… some with my daughter who is all grown up now. We all have these precious memories and then we know we have more to make! How exciting is that!
This month we are meeting at the Art Museum at 11:30 to visit the Christmas Tree Forest. Most of the trees have been decorated by children. When the exhibit closes, the trees will be donated to families in need. When I first started teaching, my classroom of Special Needs kids decorated one of these trees... then we took a field trip to see our tree in the forest of others. It was such an exciting time not only for the kids, but a memory I will never forget. I look forward to seeing them with all of you. We will also be having lunch at the museum that day at Hester’s. It is a beautiful venue with a view of the harbor, the bridge and the aquarium across the way.
Don’t forget to start saving items for our table decoration wreaths for Convention. You can give them to me or save them yourselves. Fiesta theme… bright and colorful.
I will close now and hope to see you all at the museum on the 10th.
Enjoy the holidays,
Shannon
